Understanding Stellar Addresses

Stellar (XLM) uses a single address type, or public key format, as its developers refer to it. Stellar addresses have specific characteristics that make them easily identifiable:

There is also a federated address format, though it is not very popular.

Important: You need to give someone your address in order to receive XLM. If you want to send somebody XLM, check all the letters and numbers in the destination address twice before you confirm the transfer.

Binance - How to Get Your Stellar Lumens XLM Wallet Address and Memo

Follow these steps to obtain your XLM wallet address and memo on Binance:

  1. Log in to your Binance account.
  2. Go to "Portolio" on the menu item.
  3. Search for Stellar Lumens - XLM and click on "Deposit".
  4. Copy your Stellar Network Address as the wallet address and memo (Required for Binance).
Note: Binance requires both the wallet address AND memo for successful transfers.

Coinbase - How to Get Your Stellar Lumens XLM Wallet Address and Memo

Follow these steps to obtain your XLM wallet address and memo on Coinbase:

  1. Log in to your Coinbase account.
  2. Go to "Portfolio" and select Stellar Lumens. If you cannot find Stellar Lumens, search using the top bar.
  3. Click on "Transfer" and then "Receive" button to view your Stellar Lumens (XLM) wallet address and memo (Required).
  4. Copy the wallet address and memo.
Note: Coinbase requires both the wallet address AND memo for successful transfers.

Trust Wallet - How to Get Your Stellar XLM Wallet Address and Memo

Follow these steps to obtain your XLM wallet address and memo on Trust Wallet:

  1. Open Trust Wallet and search for XLM.
  2. Select "Receive" to view your XLM wallet address (no memo required).
  3. Copy the wallet address. In Cash Pappa app, you can write any number in the memo area.
IMPORTANT! Your Stellar wallet needs to have at least 1 XLM already in your Trust Wallet otherwise the transfer may fail.

Kraken - How to Get Your Stellar Lumens XLM Wallet Address and Memo

Follow these steps to obtain your XLM wallet address and memo on Kraken:

  1. Log in to your Kraken account.
  2. Go to "Funding" and select "XLM".
  3. Click on "Deposit" to view your XLM wallet address and memo (if required).
  4. Copy the wallet address and memo.
Note: Always double-check if Kraken requires a memo for your account.

Follow these steps to obtain your XLM wallet address and memo on Lobstr:

  1. Open Lobstr app and go to Home screen
  2. Click on "Receive" button
  3. Select "Receive" from the tabs. You'll see your stellar address as displayed below
  4. Click on "Copy" to copy in your clipboard. No need to provide a memo
